Garbage and Recycling
The Village contracts with Olson Sanitation to provide refuse collection services for residential properties. Rubbish is collected once per week and recycling is collected every other week. Contact Olson Sanitation to set up service and to find out your collection day (715-247-3440).
The contract also provides fixed pricing for the pick-up of appliances and other large objects. Pick-ups can be arranged by contacting Olson Sanitation.

E-Cycling
To recycle your electronics, contact E-Cycling St Croix Valley, 1632 Livingstone Road, Hudson (715-381-5900).
Hours: Monday-Saturday 9 am – 1 pm; Monday and Wednesday 4 -6 pm. Pick up service available. Call for a quote.
Leaves and Brush
The Village will pick up bagged leaves beginning in mid-October for the fall and during the month of May for spring. Leaves MUST be in biodegradable paper bags and placed along the curb. The Village WILL NOT pick up plastic bags or bags with grass or mixed materials or bags weighing more than 40 lbs.
The Village contracts for brush removal two times each year: in early May and in early October. The exact dates for the pick-ups are announced in the Osceola Sun, the Village news letter and on the web site. Brush must be no larger than 3″ in diameter and 6′ in length. Brush piles must be neatly stacked parallel to and close to the curb, away from trees, poles, signs and fire hydrants.
The Village will also pick up brush caused by storms as soon as practicable after storm events. Brush must be no larger than 3″ in diameter and must be cut to be no longer than 6′ in length.
Village of Osceola Natural Debris Site
Location: 103 Depot Road Osceola, WI
The entrance and exit of the site are signed appropriately on the gate located on the east side of the building. Currently the planned hours of operation are weekdays 7:30a.m. to 3:00p.m. The site will be closed for observed holidays and at times Public Works will close the site for regular maintenance. Hours will be strictly enforced. Please look for any updates related to the natural debris site on the Village of Osceola webpage as hours may change seasonally.
Rules:
1) No garbage
2) No brush over 6 inches diameter or 6 feet in length
3) Leaf bags will only be in paper biodegradable bags with no mixed materials
4) No stumps or roots
5) No cutting of wood or chainsaws
6) No equipment or implements
7) No contractor dumping
The Public Works Department looks forward to a Natural Debris Site for residents to utilize and to help create an organic system with rich benefits including free compost soils and woodchips. Please help in maintaining this site by following the simple rules listed. By doing so we can look forward to a site with permanence.
