Village of Osceola Celebrates Arbor Day with Tree Plant

Osceola, WI – The Village of Osceola proudly celebrated Arbor Day today with a special tree planting event at Mill Pond, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and community beautification. Two white pine trees were planted by Village President Brad Lutz, Boardmember Arvid Maki, Public Works Coordinator Todd Waters, and members of the Public Works Department.

Osceola is a recognized member of the Tree City USA program, a designation it has earned through its continued dedication to maintaining and expanding its urban forest. Celebrating Arbor Day with tree plantings is a longstanding tradition in Osceola, underscoring the village’s investment in a greener, healthier future.

Trees are essential to the character and well-being of our community. They improve air quality, reduce stormwater runoff, provide shade and wildlife habitat, and create inviting spaces for residents and visitors alike. These plantings at Mill Pond Park will contribute to the beauty and ecology of the area for generations to come.

The white pines were chosen for their resilience, ecological value, and natural beauty. Their addition to the landscape at Mill Pond reflects the village’s forward-looking efforts to maintain healthy, sustainable green spaces.
