Albrightson Excavating is scheduled to begin construction on Thursday, September 12, 2024. The construction activities are expected to last 2 to 3 weeks, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The project involves the pulverizing and overlaying of Simmon Drive, from 75th Avenue (CTH M) to Airport Road. This includes road widening, shoulder construction, pavement striping, and turf restoration.

Construction will begin by widening the road on both sides while keeping the existing pavement in place. Once the widening is complete, the existing asphalt will be ground up, and a new road surface will be paved.

Residents will have vehicle access to their homes during the project; however, temporary access restrictions may occur at times throughout the workday.
