VILLAGE UPDATE – Cascade Falls Stair Project

The Village of Osceola is aware of recent concerns regarding the Cascade Falls stair project and appreciates the feedback received from the public.

The project is currently in the punch list phase, a standard stage of construction during which minor deficiencies and incomplete items are identified and corrected prior to final acceptance. Village staff, MSA Professional Services, and Pember Companies have reviewed the concerns raised and are actively working to address all identified items.

According to Drew Lindh, P.E., of MSA Professional Services, the items currently identified on the Cascade Falls stair project punch list do not indicate a structural failure or hazardous condition. The contractor is actively working on-site and maintaining access to the project area while completing the remaining corrections and ensuring the project meets all required standards. We appreciate the community’s attention to this project and want to assure the public that concerns are being taken seriously and addressed promptly. For everyone’s safety, please follow posted signage, use caution in the area, refrain from tampering with stairway materials, and allow the contractors the space needed to complete their work safely and efficiently.

The Village takes public safety seriously and will continue to monitor the project closely. Any condition identified as a safety concern will be addressed immediately. The Village remains committed to ensuring all work is completed to the required standards before final acceptance of the project.
